About the film

Your Name (Japanese: 君の名は。) “Kimi no Na wa. (Your Name.)” is a Japanese animated science fiction fantasy film and it the music was composed by Radwimps, a famous Japanese Rock Band.

The story is set one month after a comet has fallen for the first time in a thousand years. Mitsuha, a high school girl living in the countryside, wants to live in the city because she is unhappy with her life in a small town. Then there’s Taki, he’s a high school student living in Tokyo working part-time in an Italian restaurant, who also needs a break from everyday life.

One day, Mitsuha has a dream where she is a young boy in Tokyo. On the other hand, Taki also has a dream where he is a female high school student in a town in the mountains that he has never been to. What’s the secret behind their dreams?

From director Makoto Shinkai, the innovative mind behind Voices of a Distant Star and 5 Centimeters Per Second, comes a beautiful masterpiece about time, the thread of fate, and the hearts of two young souls.
